Cooling towers act as giant air cleaners concentrating dirt in the tower basin and re-circulation water. The dirt builds up reducing the tower and heat exchanger performance. The Filtomat self-cleaning filter improves the tower performance by reducing the build up of suspended solids in the re-circulation water which reduces build up on the heat exchanger surface thus improving the chiller efficiency.
